Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
As I reflected on the goodness of God this past week, I thought of Romans 8:28 and how this verse absolutely described my situation with the launch of my book. Initially, I felt discouraged when I heard God’s whisper to me that I needed to postpone its release. After all the hard work and preparation, it was difficult to understand why I needed to wait.
Yet, despite my moments of doubt, when my path ahead seemed uncertain, I was able to rest in the knowledge that God’s purpose for me was far greater than anything I could have imagined. This assurance was not momentary but a steadfast anchor, reminding me that I was not alone in my journey.
During the week of postponement, new ideas flourished about how to reach out to likely readers and potential venues for book signings became a reality. Each piece fell perfectly into place, illustrating how God’s timing and purpose are clearly aligned for our good.
Romans 8:28 reminded me that God’s goodness manifests not only in grand milestones, but also in the quiet, everyday moments. His love and guidance have been the foundation upon which I’ve built my dreams, and it is through His grace that each step forward becomes a testament to His faithfulness.
I pray that as we all go through our lives, we embrace the goodness of God, reflecting on His blessings and seek to align our hearts with His divine purpose. That we trust in His plans and that we are able to recognize His hand at work in our lives, trusting and believing that He is always working for our good.
